A friend of mine made these tonight and they are

fabulous. It was posted on LJ earlier by someone I

can't remember the username of.

THE FOLLOWING WAS NOT WRITTEN BY ME...I COPIED AND

PASTED IT.

Fake meat is kinda expensive around here, so I haven't

really gotten to try any of it out yet. We do get

dried tofu chunks at a good price though, so I decided

to experiment with that. Turned out great so I thought

I'd share :)

Marinade:

2 veggie bulions, crumbled

2 garlic cloves, chopped

1 tablespoon oregano

1 tablespoon basil

1 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

1 teaspoon paprica

a couple of tablespoons of oil

water

First, soak tofu chunks in water for a couple of

hours, until they are completely soft.

Once you've made the marinade, add a bit of water

(enough to cover the chunks) and mix well. Before

adding the tofu, squeeze all the water out of them

first so they will suck up the marinade extra well. I

left them to soak over night, and thought they tasted

better than the ones I made the same day as I cooked

them, so I'd recommend doing that.

I fried this with some onions, mushrooms, beans,

broccoli, spinach and red lentils and boiled it with

some tahini and canned tomatoes. End result was a

deliciously filling spaghetti sauce! :)

HOPE YOU ENJOY AS WE DID
