Guest guest
Chanda, You sure it's a puffball? They do get pretty big. If we don't hear back from you, we will know it wasn't a puffball.LOL Just kidding. Just wash it and slice to saute or toss in dishes like you do the other mushrooms. I find these get soggy or kind of crumble on the edges so don't soak it in water. PuterWitch <puterwitch wrote: Has anyone ever cooked with a puffball mushroom? This mushroom was growing in my yard, when I picked it up, and cut it open I was pleased to find solid pack white meat. I researched it well and found it to be a puffball mushroom. It smells really good. Anybody ever? Blessings, Chanda - jandemommy Saturday, November 05, 2005 7:23 PM Donna/mushroom gravy Donna-- do you know if your mushroom gravy recipe freezes well at all? I have quite a few mushrooms to use and thought it might be nice to make some gravy up that can be heated up for a quick meal. thanks : ).........
