Guest guest
Yes! You guys are great! It has been extremely helpful having this group. I really think it would have been much much harder otherwise. I had a huge bumber though. I never realized how many candies have gelatin in them! I bought a bag of candy corn ( I love them and only eat them at Halloween time). After eating most of it I read the ingredients.. pretty much just to see how much SUGAR I was eating.. Well .. low and behold.. gelatin. I had even stopped eating pop tarts way back when I learned what gelatin was (and I absolutely loved my pop tarts.. they were easy to fix and grab on the go for breakfast or dessert!) and here I was eating all these candies with gelatin .. starburst, skittles, candy corn! I guess it should have dawned on me since they all have that gummy consistency but it never registered other than the fact that I shouldn't be eating all the sugar in the first place! Isn't that crazy! UGG I have been chugging' away on my NANO novel. This morning i got 1403 (total of 6803 words to date. Last year I only made it to 14,00) words done in about an hour & 45 minutes. I posted the first two installments on my blog http://talula_rouge.bravejournal.com ; you have to read in reverse order though since they put the current date first. It's called Norrey. I heard the name somewhere and I liked it. I had it written down in one of my many paper journals. When I couldn't get my original idea off the ground, I flipped through them and it jumped out at me so... now I've been it's slave! LOL I guess I should stop blathering now! I also know this hasn't been easy for you, it's always easier if you have a local friend there for support and to share meals and recipes with. I'm happy knowing we have been your far off friends and we've been able to help you. Hugs, Donna -- In , J Rouge <spice_e_talula_rouge> wrote: > > > I haven't totally converted anyone yet. However, my mom is working towards it. She talks about how much better she feels when she's been to my house several days in a row and eats pretty much nothing but veggie food that I've fixed. Also, she talks about how she has started to get sick when she eats meat. > > I think 3 things have started to help convince her. > 1) I look better, lost weight, and she says she sees a happier side to me > 2) the food she's had at my house was actually good > 3) she knows how I've tried other life style changes and this is the only one that has stuck. > > > J Lyn > purplepassion <thelilacflower> wrote: > Have any other members converted a meat eater(s) and if so how did you do it?
