Is this the recipe your son asked for? Sounds very good and how easy. I would

never have thought to mix a can of black bean soup with the refried beans.

I'll make it.

1 can of blackbean soup

1 Can of refried beans (makes sure they are vegetarian! some come cooked in

lard, ughh)

any type of grated cheese you like, I used Mexican mix

some grated mozzarella

taco or quesadilla soft tortilla shells. They are shaped in a circle.

salsa

chopped green onions

sliced tomatoes with the skins cut off

chopped canned green chilies

garlic powder

taco seasoning mix

This is so simple to make. In a bowl mix the can of refried beans and the can of

soup. Do not add water. Add a couple of tablespoons of the salsa, and garlic

powder and taco seasoning to taste. I used half a packet of seasoning and a

teaspoon of garlic powder.

spread the tortilla with the bean mixture as if you were spreading peanut butter

onto a sandwich, then top with the cheese, then a little bit of the mozzarella

cheese, then all the rest of the toppings, leaving the green onions for last.

It's all a matter of taste how much you use. Put another tortilla on top and fry

in a little bit of margarine in pan with a lid until the insides are melted.

Then turn and do the same thing on the other side, and that is that. Serve with

salsa and sour cream, and some guacamole world be great too.

Blessings,

Chanda

It isn't exactly what he asked for, but he was so happy to get it. He wanted

tacos but he loved this just as much.

It's funny, I bought the black bean soup by mistake, I meant to buy a can of

black beans. IT was meant to be. When I saw it was soup I was cursing, LOL, but

then I thought, ya know, those refried beans are so hard in the can, that soup

just may soften them up, and sure enough, it was perfect. The beans would have

been too hard of a mix for the veggie refried beans.

The slight bit of mozzarella with the other cheese gives it a nice twist too.
