Guest guest
Or just call it a porti but I do believe it's spelled portabello, maybe I'm wrong LOL How did you cook them? Did you remove the fins underneath? I know some of the members like those but I don't. I remove them by running a teaspoon under and they scoop right out. They are delicious, I love them cooked in teriyaki sauce and put into a sandwich with Vegenaise and a slice of onion. Sometimes I will slice them really thick and toss into my soups. They are also great soaked in a marinade and tossed on the grill. Laura holmer <americanmommy32 wrote: I like that doggy bag idea it is a great way to show her whats she is missing. I just tried a portabella mushroom ( is that spelled right?) for the first time last night, it was one of the best things I have ever had. I will make that dish again and have her try it if that doesnt do the trick I dont know what will. ( I wont give up though!) " Diamond hard promises and million dollar bills. Guest guest
I did scoop the bottom out, I don't like that part left on either. I sauteed it with onion and a bit of butter, then put it on a french roll and put some cheese on it set in the broiler a few minutes till it was nice and melted. My eleven year old daughter wanted me to make an extra one for her to take to school for lunch. purplepassion <thelilacflower wrote: Or just call it a porti but I do believe it's spelled portabello, maybe I'm wrong LOL How did you cook them?
