Guest guest
No, I have never heard of those either. We have only 2 very small German deli type stores in this area and they have a little bit of food items from Eastern Europe but not much. Now, we have every type of Asian or Mexican or South American market you can imagine. We even have a Samoan market near by. There are also several middle eastern stores and some of those will sell a few items from Greece. There aren't too many Italian deli's around either. Now I want to taste a paczkis........Donna rhiamom <rhiamom wrote: > Nope, I never heard of a perogi and I asked 10 people in the office yesterady (all Calif. natives) and they laughed at the word and they never heard of them either.I have tons of cookbooks and I've never come across them. There just weren't enough Polish immigrants in California, I guess. I'll bet they don't know what paczkis are, either. (Pronounced poonch-keys) " Diamond hard promises and million dollar bills.
