Guest guest Posted October 27, 2005 Report Share Posted October 27, 2005 black bean and green olive tamale filling 1 T. chili powder 2 tsp. ground cumin 1 15 ounce can black beans, drained, rinsed and coarsely chopped (1 1/2 cups) 1/3 cup pitted green olives, coarsely chopped salt and pepper to taste in a small dry skillet, toast chili powder and cumin over low heat, stirring constantly until fragrant, about 1 minute. transfer to a mixing bowl. add black beans and olives; mix thoroughly. season with salt and pepper. fills about 16 tamales. Guest guest Posted October 27, 2005 Report Share Posted October 27, 2005 --- we love tamales here : ). this looks so good : ). it will likely have to be made this weekend with our daughter. she really likes Mexican now and is picking up liking spicy which is great at 6 : ). there is nothing better than the smell of tamales in the kitchen.... off to get Halloween costumes going for kids' party tonight....Emily is going as a world-class gymnast and Jacob is going to be a werewolf if I can get his make-up to turn out right : ).......
