Guest guest Posted October 25, 2005 Report Share Posted October 25, 2005 I've understood that the 'x' allows the B.sprouts to cook thoroughly without being overcooked. Sometimes I just trim the ends off without doing the 'x' and that seems to work as well. Otherwise you might overcook them and then they get mushy, which isn't very nice. Mmmm, I've got B.sprouts in the fridge, will have to cook them up tonight.
