Guest guest
Do you mean when they are completely black? I know that gives the bread a very strong banana flavor but I usually make my bread with the bananas that are filled with dark specks. Solid black bananas give me the creeps since I used to babysit my Uncles mynah bird, and he used to only eat smashed up black bananas and he would also toss them out of the cage, was a mess to clean up and they just smelled way too strong.......LOL Donna kabibe_md <hey_soleil wrote: i don't know how you do it there, but we use overripe bananas for this recipe. in fact, this is what we do with our overripe harvest just to salvage the bananas. 2 months ago, my mom and i baked a batch of banana bread made from overripe bananas, and a batch which were not overripe. we were accustomed to overripe that we had to compare. guess which tastes and smells better? yup, banana bread with overripe bananas. -soleil Who Knew Trivia?
