This recipe should serve 8 but maybe 10 if you have those guests that detest Brussels abnd are not willing to try them.........LOL Makes a nice sauce that is vegan. " Wine Glazed Brussel Sprouts " 2 lbs. Brussel Sprouts 1/2 cup dry red wine 3 Tbslpns. honey or maple syrup 1 1/2 Tblspns. lite soy sauce or tamari sauce 1 1/2 tsps. cornstarch Wash and trim the stems off the Brussels and cut an X into the base, about 1/4 inch deep. In a small bowl, combine wine,honey and soy sauce and stir to blend. Transfer to a 3 qt. saucepan slong with 1/2 cup water and the Brussels. Stir together, bring to a boil, turn heat to a simmer, cover and simmer for about 15 mins. stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook another 10 min.s Dissolve the cornstarch into a small amount of water. Stir into saucepan quickly and gently toss with a large spoon to thicken sauce, simmer for 2-3 mins.
