Guest guest Posted October 22, 2005 Report Share Posted October 22, 2005 Spicy Toasted Almond Dip 1/2 cup sliced almonds 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1 small tomato, peeled and chopped 1 tb. red wine vinegar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/3 to 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spread almonds on cookie sheet in single layer and bake 7-10 minutes or until browned. Let cool. In a food processor combine toasted almonds, garlic, tomato, vinegar, salt and cayenne. Puree until coarse paste forms. With machine on, slowly add oil in a very thin stream. process until well blended, Transfer to a bowl and refrigeratefor 2 hours letting flavors blend.
