Guest guest Posted October 20, 2005 Report Share Posted October 20, 2005 MOUNTAIN CHILI 2 c. uncooked pinto beans 1(16 oz.) can tomato stewed tomatoes undrained 4 c. water 1 green pepper, chopped 2 tsp. vegetable oil 1 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1 tbsp. garlic, minced 1/4 c. parsley, minced 1 cup of reconstituted TVP 2 tbsp chili powder 1 serrano pepper, seeded and chopped 1 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1 square dark baker's chocolate Saute green pepper and onion in oil until soft. Combine other ingredients and simmer for a couple of hours. OR put in a crockpot and cook for at least 4-5 hours. Watch to see if any additional water is needed. Serve with rice.
