Guest guest
I tried Donna's savory sauce and lemmy tell ya, if you ever have white sauce, which is bleached flour and fat, and salad dressing which isn't much better sometimes, try this sauce. It's protein, no cholesterol, and the nutritional yeast flakes actually help lower cholesterol. I just changed it a bit I used 3 tbs of soy sauce instead of two, I did that by accident and now I am glad I did cause the sauce rocks. I used a tablespoon of mustard instead of a teaspoon, again by accident and I am glad, and I added a little more garlic, but that I did on purpose ;O) I stir fried some zucchini slices with onion in some olive oil, and when they were done I poured this sauce over them and heated a little and stirred it all up, YUM! Then I also made a little salad and used this cold over the salad, again, YUM. here is her recipe again, it is in the recipe files: This is fantastic on a salad, over pasta, on a baked potato, as a dip, hot or cold and pour it over the Brussels sprouts too. It's actually endless. So easy to prepare. " Savory Sauce " 1/2 lb. firm or extra firm tofu (not silken) 3/4 cup vegetable broth or water 1/4 canola oil 2 Tablspoons soy sauce 2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes 2 Tablespoons fresh chopped basil or 1 tsp. dried basil 2 Tablespoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1 clove garlic minced Put all ingredients ito a blender or food processor and blend. That's it!!! Enjoy! Donna
