Amy these you roll in a ball and flatten with a cookie press or the bottom of a

glass dipped into sugar.

 

" Pepparkakor Balls (Swedish ginger balls) "

 

3 1/4 cups flour

1 Tblspn. ground ginger

2 tsps. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. gr. cardamom

1/2 tsp. gr. cloves

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. allspice

1 tsp. baking soda

1 cup butter softened

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1/2 cup molasses

 

Place all dry ingredients together in bowl and stir well to blend and set aside.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and molasses and beat

well.

Gradually add dry ingredients, beating until well blended.

Form dough into one huge ball and wrap with waxed paper, place wrapped ball in a

bowl and chill overnight.

Roll into medium balls abd place on greased cookie sheet and flatten with a

designed cookie press dipped into sugar or the bottom of a drinking glass dipped

into sugar, place cookies 2 inch apart.

Bake at 350 degrees for 6-9 mins. depending on the size cookies you made. Watch

closely to avoid burning.

Cool cookies on wire rack.
