Guest guest
--- thanks Donna : ). we are sending hubby's brother off on Thursday to meet up with Mark : ). my poor mother-in-law is beside herself and guess who was a glutton for punishment and volunteered to take her to the airport to say good-bye? the light at the end of that tunnel says lunch at the Machine Shed--Denise might know about it : ). the only veg-friendly dish there is the grilled portabella sandwich but it is to die for : ). I have to go and try it again so hopefully I can duplicate it at home : ). ***** does anyone know if there is any hope for 3 smaller butternut squashes that are still slightly green? the vines died back after last few hard freezes before they were done. are they OK to eat or is it a lost cause--cut open and save seeds for next year?**** ****carob pudding recipe in files section is fantastic--better than chocolate : ). chocolate is way too sweet for me and I can't really stand it much but this pudding was very, very good, esp warm. I'm trying it next with brownies : ). Anne

Great that they offer a porto-sandwich. > > > ***** does anyone know if there is any hope for 3 smaller butternut > squashes that are still slightly green? the vines died back after > last few hard freezes before they were done. are they OK to eat or > is it a lost cause--cut open and save seeds for next year?**** I would say go ahead and bring them in. Winter squach stores great and will probably still ripen up. If not, then you can still cut them open for the seeds; but give them some time and see what happens. Store in a cool dry place, not the fridge. Denise
