That is great to know Derick!

You are right, we are coming together in this day and age. Although I have not

yet seen a man who doesn't run from menstrual issues, my hubby, sons, and every

male friend I have included, I am sure you are right and they are out there. I

DO see men so much more involved in things that men never were involved in

before that is for sure. I think the reason is, like you say, you have coworkers

that are women, and for those who have wives, women are now working whereas in

the days of old they didn't have to.

Now it takes two incomes to manage a family, sometimes even three, so with

women working as much as men are, men have been forced to take a more active

domestic role in every day life. This includes now having to share in cooking

and cleaning and raising the kids, to now having female coworker buddies.

Please don't ever think you are putting anyone to sleep! Your comments are

always appreciated!

Chanda

Although I have not yet seen a man who doesn't run from menstrual

Well, when I started my cycle it was my dad who bought my pads. I

don't think I actually bought them myself until I was 18. And James

has always been aware of my moon cycle. In fact he kind of already

knew I was pregnant because I hadn't started yet. So, those few gems

of men are out there.

And he has been so wonderful during this pregnancy. Asking me if I

need anything, asking me how I am feeling, how I'm dealing with the

body changes. Always wanting to know what I'm going through.

We watched a great DVD called Pregnant Man. It was a documentary of

this one man's experience of his wife's pregnancy. But he also went

around and interviewed his friends about how they dealt with

pregnancies. They focused a lot on Couvat's Syndrome (pregnancy

symptoms that show up in men, such as morning sickness, back pain,

etc.) It was very refreshing to hear all these men talk about their

feelings and emotions during their pregnancies.
