Guest guest Posted October 8, 2005 Report Share Posted October 8, 2005 Romanian Root Vegetables with Glaze 1 cup parsnips cut in 1/2 inch rounds 1 cup of carrots cup in 1/2 inch rounds 1 onion cut into 6 wedges 1/3 cup water or broth 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup 2 tsps. cornstarch 1 tsp. fresh grated lemon peel 1 tsp. fresh dill weed or 1/2 tsp. of dried weed 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. black pepper Add a few inches of water in a large saucepan and place all veggies in the steamer. Steam until tender, about 10 mins. When done place veggies in dry saucepan. Combine the 1/3 cup of water or broth, honey or maple syrup, cornstarch, lemon peel, dill weed, salt and pepper and whisk together until well blended. Pour mixture over veggies and heat while gently stirring until sauce thickens, only takes about a minute. " I guarantee you, this place will blow your mind. You can boil and mash together with potatoes, not that's also very good and squeeze a little garlic in with them.
