Guest guest
I will make this. I'm new to kale myself. Susie posted a soup months ago and that was my fist experience. It's wonderful. Matter of fact you can toss ikale in the lentil soup I posted yesterday. I used cabbage in mine and Amy used spinach when she made it. Have you tried chard " I liked that also. That's right, you can sub ingredients and try new experiments in your kitchen. That's the art of cooking, now there will be a time you have to toss the whole dish....LOl That can happen from a recipe you follow from your cookbook too. I went on line and found this quick recipe for kale and beans and I LOVED IT! The lemon mixed with the beans have a wonderful taste placed on top of slightly chewy kale and onions. > Jane > (my changes in ( )....this is what this group has taught me.....don't be afraid to change ingredients!) > > Try this recipe from Moosewood Restaurant Cooks at Home. > > 4 cups cooked white beans (I used 2 cans black > eyed peas > they looked white enough for > me, Drained) > lemon juice to taste (juice of one lemon) > salt, pepper, red pepper flakes to taste. DH loves those silly little vienna sausages, cooked in a crock pot with Heinz chili sauce and Bama grape jelly... but he obviously only gets those when he wants to make them! Luckily, he doesn't miss it much with the good veggie food he gets instead.

Guest guest
I should clarify that it was not just any old sausage; it was those weiners that come in a can, which, in my opinion, are gross to begin with. I wouldn't even eat a veggie version of them. -Craige On 10/6/05, Jenni Billings <jenni wrote: > that is disgusting! > ugh. gross.. > > I mean, really, I can't even imagine it! Guest guest
My mom cooks those little cocktail weiners in a mixture of yellow mustard and grape jelly. Thought the sauce would be gross until I tasted it. As a rule, though, I'm not a fan of grape jelly. Too many peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches growing up!
