Are you going to post your sweet fur babies pictures into our photo file so we can see? There's a bunch of cat lovers in here.

Oh my, I must go and take a look. Love animal pics! I don't have a digital camera and no recent kitty pics, but will work on it.

Nice introduction and very valid info on sweets. I'm the queen of sweets so I have to really watch it. I always find a little bit of the natural black licorice does it for me but I also know many people can't stand the flavor.

If there's a husband and kids, no easy task. I have found that the longer I stay away from sweets, the less I crave them and if I do eat something sweet it doesn't taste as good as anticipated. Fruit, as someone suggested, is a great idea especially if you live near an orchard and can get real fruit as opposed to that plastic stuff they sell in the supermarket. Just today my daughter and I went apple picking and she asked why we can't get apples like this in a store. If you can't give sweets up completely, just try a very small portion (even a bite or two can sometimes do the trick) and keep repeating the

mantra....empty calories, empty calories. While I'm here, will throw out my intro. Joined the group yesterday and have been veggie for ethical reasons for 17 years. I have two adult daughters and an empty nest (except for cats three) and while I love them dearly, I love, love, love, living alone. Did I say I loved living alone? :-) I work full time and get in after 7:00 p.m. so my cooking is pretty much limited to the weekend when I try to stock up for the week.Great to be here!TM"I guarantee you, this place willblow your mind."Source: Norman WhitfieldPsychedelic Shack
