I don't know if that post made it. If it did indeed make it, please pardon my double post. This is only the second forum to which I have posted, so excuse me if I make a mistake with procedure. Please inform me and I will correct any such mistakes.I am a husband, and a father to one beautiful baby girl named Samantha. I want to raise her vegetarian. When I try to discuss it my wife she changes the subject. My wife is not a vegetarian. In fact, the only other vegetarian in my life is a nice coworker. She gives me recipes that keep me going. I like forums such as this where the recipes have been tested, rather than just trusting one simply downloaded from the internet. I tried that several times and on a few occasions the food was trashed. In conclusion I want to say thank you for supplying this forum. Here is a recipe that I cooked the other night that turned out very well. Our neighbor was visiting at dinner time, he stayed and enjoyed it, and had not one comment on the meatlessness, LOL.RonBROCCOLI AND TOFU IN SPICY ALMOND SAUCEIngredients:Sauce: 1/2 cup hot water1/2 cup almond butter (original recipe was for peanut butter - I use almond cause I'm allergic to peanut)1/4 cup cider vinegar2 Tablespoons tamari sauce2 Tablespoons blackstrap molasses1/4 cup cayenne (this is a HUGE amount - I use 1-2 tsp.)Saute: ------1 lb broccoli2 tsp ginger4 cloves garlic1 lb tofu, cubed2 cup onion, thinly sliced1 cup chopped cashews2-3 Tablespoons tamari sauce2 minced scallionsInstructionsSauce: In small saucepan, whisk together almond butter and hot water until you have a uniform mixture. Guest guest
Thank You very much Donna (Lady) Your name means Lady, and that I feel is a perfect definition for you. I was perusing the archives on another group and found your helpful posts, and, you are the reason why I am here. I followed you. Please don't think i am a stalker :laugh repeatedly: The most harm I could do is throw a recipe at you. LOL. you are very helpful I see, so I would like to ask you a question. I have sought information on line and have come up blank. I have a packet of alaria seaweed, Atlantic wakame, and I have no idea of how to cook it. I have read that you can mix it with other vegetables. Can I mix it with green beans etc? Thank you in advance, Ronpurplepassion <thelilacflower wrote: Happy to have you join all of us here, Ron.
