Oh, those black bean burgers were great. We used one of our red onions

and it could have been diced up finer, but they tasted great! Very

filling indeed.

Well, I guess I did pretty good shopping once I got to the store, I

still spent over $60.

I completely understand about the " not getting it. " I had dinner with

my boss and her future dil (I'm making her bridesmaids jewelry) and

when I ordered the Boca she said " oh, I couldn't be a vegetarian, I'm

on a high protein diet. " Well, I gave her a short lesson on what types

of food have protein. People really do believe that only meat has

protein, they don't even know that many veggies are high in protein!

Isn't it amazing that even a dietician hasn't educated themselves

enough to know what a healthy vegetarian diet is!

via the phone and still brought her chicken, tuna salad, bacon with

her oatmeal, etc. She just didn't get it.

oh I so know where you are!

My sister in law is a Martha Stewart wannabe, LOL <hope she doesn't read this>

kids were always dressed perfectly and never got dirty while playing, LOL, perfect gardener, cook, pie baker, always on top of everything everywhere everytime. For the sake of this email I will call her Martha.

Recently at my daughter's BD party Martha's husband, my bro in law, while talking to me realized a flaw in Martha I guess, as he felt threatened by my topic of vegetarianism that I was discussing with another guest.

He said, "Martha is a vegetarian too." I looked at him straight in the eye and said <let's call him Ted,> I said, "no Ted, she is not. She eats chicken for God's sakes." and Ted says, "well she tried cutting out all meats but she couldn't because your body needs that protein, and she started getting headaches and passing out, so now she only eats chicken of all the meats."

UGHHHHHHHH. I tried to tell him that there are so many protein foods that one never needs to eat meat. Geez, if you are gonna stay dairy even a glass of milk will do ya, let alone veggies.

he told me I was wrong.

OK..... whatever Ted

hugs,

Chanda
