Guest guest Posted September 29, 2005 Report Share Posted September 29, 2005 2 tbsp olive oil 4-6 small shallots, peeled and halved 8 oz baby carrots 1 lb small new potatoes, scrubbed and cut in half 2 turnips or 1 small rutabega, peeled and diced into 1 " pieces 2 cloves garlic, minced salt/pepper 1 1/2 c. vegetable stock 1/4 c. dry red or white wine 1 tbsp tamari soy sauce 1 1/2 tsp dried thyme, sage, or savory, or combination of all 3 1. grease crockpot with 1 tbsp oil. add shallots, carrots, potatoes, turnips, and garlic. 2. add salt, pepper, stock, wine, tamari, and herbs. drizzle with remaining 1 tbsp oil. DO NOT STIR. 3. cover and cook on LOW till all veggies tender, 6-8 hrs. **can place all in Dutch oven and simmer 1-1 1/2 hrs** Anne Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
