Guest guest
So last night James asked me where I got the soup recipe (the White Bean recently posted) and I told him from this group. He asked me if I ever post recipes and told I do everyone once in a while. He then asked if his molasses bread would be a good candidate and I said, " oh, yes, many people on the list would love the recipe. " So, I'm going to get it from him tonight and post it. It's a wonderful quick bread with molasses, currents and sometimes chocolate chips. He was a dear and withheld them this time around as he is acutely aware that I'm not supposed to eat (much) chocolate right now! Gosh, he's just so supportive!!! (being somewhat sarcastic). Anyway, it's a recipe he got from a 1972 Farmers' Almanac and is really good when fried. Yep, a couple of days later for Sunday breakfast he cut up some slices and fried in butter. Oh my, it was divine! Denise
Guest guest
Ooh, Denise, definitely get that from him! A long time ago I had a recipe for a dark rye, that had raisins, nuts & chocolate chips, and was supposed to be served with raspberry butter, but I lost it and never found it again. :-( James' could be close... *hugs* and sorry about the chocolate - man, hate it when hubbies are supportive, eh? ;-) Amy
