Guest guest Posted September 27, 2005 Report Share Posted September 27, 2005 Olive Tapenade Pizza with Vine-Ripened Tomatoes and Fresh Basil Honey WW Crust (see Black Bean Pizza) 1 c. pitted black Kalamata olives 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tbsp olive oil 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced 1 c. diced vine-ripened tomatoes 2 tbsp pine nuts 1/4 c. chopped basil 1 1/2 c. shredded provolone, or vegan equivalent 1. preheat oven to 450 degrees. lightly spray or oil 2 12 " pans. prepare crust dough according to recipe through step 4. 2. on lightly floured surface, roll each portion into 12 " circle and place on prepared pans. bake for 5 minutes or till crusts lightly browned and puffed. 3. in blender or food processor combine olives, garlic, and olive oil. process till finely chopped, ~1 minute. spread 1 crust with 1/2 olive mixture. top with half onions and tomatoes. bake for 5 minutes. 4. sprinkle 1/2 pine nuts, basil, and cheese over top and bake for 5 minutes longer, till cheese bubbly and crust is browned. remove from oven and cool on wire rack 5 minutes before cutting. repeat with 2nd pizza. ** this sound like a good summer pizza and possibly as a grilled pizza. we tried grilled pizza this summer for a change of pace and it was good : )** Anne Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
