Guest guest
I brought the newspaper to work with me this morning and in the food section there were two pages on various brownies that made the top 10 list by well known people or restaurants. I have not tried this one since I found it today but the food editor said Katherine Hepburn was well known for serving her friends her delicious brownies and here's the recipe if anyone wants to give it a try. I will soon but I didn't want the recipe to get lost before I get the chance. Here you go. "Katharine Hepburn's Famous Brownies" 2 squares unsweetened chocolate 8 Tblspns butter (1 stick) 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 cup walnuts 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a heavy saucepan over very low heat melt chocolate and butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Beat eggs and vanilla together and stir in. Quickly stir in walnuts, flour and salt. Spread batter in a well greased 8X8 baking pan. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove pan to wire rack and cool.
