I deleted the post today about Brussels sprouts and I forget who posted.

First of all, go easy on my beloved Brussels, they really get a bad rap, and it's not fair.

If you fear Brussels start out with baby Brussels.

steam them and add some butter or margarine and you will find them yummy. The smaller the more tender and good.

A good way to serve them if you have the time is to pull them apart leaf by leaf. Steam the leaves until tender and top with margarine or butter, and don't forget the salt and pepper.

hugs,

Chanda

Thanks, Chanda. Yes, I will try them. I think I will pull the leaves apart like you recommended. I'll put it on my shopping list. I really do want to try all these veggies. I don't want my girls to not like something because I don't like it. I'll need to keep an open mind and an open tongue for it. Just kidding. I have a textured thing - I hate things with a funny texture. Troy and I talked about it the other day. I have a hard time stomaching oatmeal for breakfast. I've started trying it again, though. I read it takes 5 - 7 times for someone to like something. I know it is healthy and I love it in stuff. It is just the texture that gets me. I'm crazy, I know.

I'll try the brussel sprouts, thanks. Along with Donna's okra. . . I'll have to swish stuff down with some beer :)

Now you're talkin! brussles and beer, yum!

yeha the smaller the better.

I cannot eat oatmeal, same as you with the texture thing. NO WAY. I can stomach cream of wheat though.

Chanda
