Guest guest
I posted this I think but not sure. Here you go. This makes a very tasty seafood tasting base. You can use this for soups or gumbo, boil your rice with it. enjoy as is, etc. Basic Sea Vegetable Broth 4 or 5 cups water 4 or 5 inch strip of kombu or kelp 1/3 dried shitake or other mushrooms 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger 1 tablespoon miso 3 chopped green onions Boil water in 2 qt. saucepan and add kelp or kombu, dried mushrooms and let simmer for one hour on a very low simmer. Remove the sea vegetable and mushrooms and dice, return them to the pot. Add ginger and simmer for 15 mins, Stir in miso and garnish with green onions. You can serve as soup or use for your recipes as a stock.
