Guest guest
No, I always use the 'fans'...cute, descriptive name for 'em, I must say. I always use 'em and they add a sort of depth to the flavor, I think. You're very welcome for the recipe. I have lots more using portabellas, as I love them too! They taste better than meat, as far as I am concerned. As a card-carryin' Southerner, I ate a LOT of meat in my time but am hurryin' to make up for that now. :>) I see, about the email. Would you like an invitation to Gmail? then you will never have to delete anything and can keep everything if you so choose... Let me know! When you make portobello mushrooms do you clean the fans out from underneath? I know some people don't. DonnaBron < southernflower wrote: Ah, Donna, you trickster! Unless there are two Donnas? is that the case? thelilacflower Donna and the Starwoman Donna...hmmm...! LOL I will give what we had for supper this evenin'. SO good. Cooked Boca burgers, the vegan sort, and while they were cookin', layered the ww buns with the following: a dab of mustard lettuce thinly sliced 'mater with dillweed sprinkled on top dollop of guac (guacamole) the hot burger shredded Jack cheese sauteed organic portabellas (dh found them and bought them as a surprise to me this evenin' at Publix!) another dollop of guac And cover with the top bun and smash it down good to get all the juices minglin' together. I had to cut mine in half before I could get it in my mouth, it was pretty tall! Dh said, " My mouth is bigger than yours, I can get all mine in at once. " I didn't contest THAT statement, lol...I cooked two burgers apiece, and dh finished his, but I could only finish one. I am totally full now, just drinking icewater 'cause I haven't drunk much all day. Sorta makin' up for lost time, you might say. Anyway, y'all try this: it is soooooo good! Next time, I think I'll add some drained red peppers (in a jar; we don't have any red peppers here that are organic, sad to say) to the stack. Enjoy!
