Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been a lacto-ovo veg for about two and a half years. My middle daughter (27) has been Vegan for 5 mos. I thought I could live with the eggs and cheese, etc until I checked out that site Chanda posted. I think I'm going to have to work toward being totally vegan. I just can't believe what we humans are willing to put animals through in the name of food. I feel ashamed. Thanks for the info Chanda. I have new goals now. Guest guest
me too Debra, here I was thinking that I was being ok by buying the free range eggs that are twice to three times the price of the regular ones. How dare they dupe us like that. That's ok, karma will come and bite them on the butt. I can just imagine the pain of having their beak cut, I can feel it in my face when I think about it. I am actually seriously considering buying a chicken. I wish I could get my family to see. When I told them of this they were like, "yeah, so." It scares me, I raised them. I don't know that I can go vegan completely, but I do already limit my eggs & cheese anyway, mostly when I'm out... but I'm looking for a local place where I can see how they treat the chickens! I lived in Washington DC for quite some time - are you near there? If you were close enough for a say, monthly trip, it might help... *hugs* Amy
