Guest guest
Hi Angela (and everyone else too), Perhaps you have Dutch ancestors (LOL) - do you happen to dream of windmills and clogs? Stampot would work fine with spinach but it wouldn't retain the same texture as using kale. I have never used spinach in stampot as Hans finds it rather bitter. When I cook with spinach it has to be in something with a fairly strong flavour to "hide" the taste. Last night we had a delicious curry with potatoes, mushrooms and spinach - YUM. I can post the recipe if anyone is interested but I have no exact measurements as I made it up as I went along. Cheers from Marie welcome in Marie. never heard of stampot before but have been mashing potatoes and other veggies together all my life, no one else in the family did - just some of my 'weirdness', along with not liking meat and loving spinach. they thought I was a strange child!! we know better now, huh!
