Guest guest Posted September 10, 2005 Report Share Posted September 10, 2005 1 can Garbanzo beans 1 stalk celery shredded carrot scallions mustard mayonnaise pickle relish drain beans and mash with a fork add chopped celery, shredded carrots, scallions, pickle relish, mustard and may. mix so all is blended. add salt and pepper to taste. Guest guest Posted November 8, 2005 Report Share Posted November 8, 2005 I've had good success using the pulp from juiced carrots or steamed cauliflower (mashed, of course!), then adding a vegan mayonnaise and various spices (try " powder sea vegetables " like Nori, etc. to get a " fishy " flavor). Adding diced onions and celery makes the spread close to what I enjoyed as a kid.
