Guest guest
I appreciate this info. You know my Mom can make , melt in the mouth best fudge and she used to make several types. A big favorite was her potato fudge. She was always checking the humidity before she started. I'll be in the baking mood and she will say, don't bother baking today, there's too much humidity in the air....I'll turn on the weather station and sure enough, she's right. Thanks again, DonnaAmy <sandpiperhiker wrote: Both my mother and my mil insist that fudge cannot be made when it'shigh humidity or especially, never while it's raining. That aside, here's a great article on the chemistry of fudge... :-)http://www.gi.alaska.edu/ScienceForum/ASF8/871.html*fudgyhugs*Amy"In the present position of the planets, it's impossible to say;Just when I'll find my course again, with the boulders in my way.I should be rolling down the skyway on my cosmic wheels;Instead of stumbling down this highway on my boots of steel"Source: Cosmic Wheels by Donovan Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Guest guest
Hi, Never heard of potato fudge, however I would love to see the recipe. For my daughters SAE hours for the FFA she is going to start baking and selling what she makes at school. Last year she got SAE credit for cooking with me. She won't be 16 until this December so she was having a hard time finding a job or anything that would fit into the FFA. And no we don't live in a rural area we are in Connecticut 45 minutes from Manhatten. Gayle

I wonder how she knows? :-) But, while I like potatoes, I can't imagine potato fudge??
