hi everyone. i have been craving rice crispie treats something awful lately! unfortunately, as we all know, marshmallows aren't vegetarian. as far as i know though, marshmallow creme is! i do not want to make vegetarian marshmallows myself. does anyone know of a way to convert the regular rice crispie treat recipe to use the creme insted of whole marshmallows? i just don't know the amount... i have looked online but all i can find is vegan recipes for it and i still would like the butter. ;)

Well, though I haven't tried this yet, but I imagine you could just coat your hands (or a spoon, if you want to be no fun) with butter or cooking spray and mix the rice crispies with the Fluff/marshmallow creme as they are - maybe warm the fluff in the microwave for a little bit to make it more melty? After all, all you do with the marshmallows is melt them and use butter to make them not sticky to everything. You might need to experiment with the amounts though, but is there such a thing has too much marshmallow creme? :) Fluff contains egg whites, last I checked. Celia
