Guest guest
hi everyone! I have a recipe for a banana cream pie which asks for 1 1/2 lbs of silken tofu. I only have regular tofu, is this ok?? Thanks in advance for any advice! Here is the recipe for anyone who is interested: Caroline's Banana Cream Pie 3-4 ripe bananas, chopped 4 tbsp maple syrup 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 pkg extra firm SILKEN tofu (Mori-Nu) Combine all in blender till smooth. Pour into baked pie crust, chill till set. Lisa (Halifax, Canada)
Guest guest
Looks luscious. The regular tofu will not be more grainy, dry and " beany " -tasting. I would replace some (maybe 1/4) of the regular tofu with water and blend very smooth before adding the rest of the ingredients, and I'd up the amounts of the other ingredients a bit.
