Guest guest
I made up this recipe this week, and took it to a potluck where there were meat-eaters as well as vegetarians. It was liked by both. MY TOFU PATTIES 1 Pkg. Mori Nu firm or extra firm Tofu 3 or 4 Tbs. Nutritional yeast flakes 1 Tbs. dry basil 6 Tbs. dry Onion soup mix 1/2 cup finely chopped or ground walnuts 1 onion, finely chopped equivelent to 2 eggs 1/4 cup vegetable broth 3 Tbs. Vital Wheat gluten flour (Do-Pep) Mix well. Spread in hot oiled pan on med. heat, in shape of patties, and cook til brown. Turn. Cook. Continue to cook til brown. I made these ahead of time, and reheated them, covered, in a bake dish, in the oven. When hot, I topped them with heated mushroom gravy just before serving.
