I'm on a holistic cat list and they recommend giving ground pumpkin seeds to clear worms out of the system for cats. Also, grated carrot and/or papaya are said to help. Another person mentioned a holistic remedy by Standard Process called Zymex II. Personally, I wouldn't mess around with this. I'd get to a doctor & get it treated. Crystal D. Guest guest
Interesting comments about parasites. I have been told that ALL of us who have EVER eaten meat have parasites living in us. Dr.'s don't diagnose them, don't treat them, and will probably deny their existance. But those who have gone on the cleanses have SEEN them. Lots of them!!! As far as I know only Dr.'s who use natural things (and there are some), even will discuss this with you, and tests won't show them, or the tests aren't done that DO show them. Not sure which. Not a great topic to discuss on a cooking group, I guess, but maybe necessary. :-) Hugs, Carol
Guest guest
I am a hatha yoga teacher, and there are traditional cleansing practices done to remove debris from the stomach (and in fact the whole internal system from the mouth down). The stomach wash is achieved by practising a specific series of postures that squeeze the digestive tract, along with drinking salt water. The full practice is done until the fluid coming out of the body runs clear. It needs to be done under supervision and guidance, but this is a practice that will remove everything from the digestive system. OM Shanti Michele PS There are of course some parasites and bacteria that are necessary and helpful to us, and we are in fact an "eco-system" for thousands if not millions of organisms!
