Guest guest
These are apple fritters to make on cold Fall mornings, using nice fresh-picked apples! Delicious! Myla's Apple Fritters 2 eggs 2/3 cup milk 1 tsp. melted butter 1 tsp. salt 1 cup flour 1 tsp. baking powder 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 3-4 large apples, peeled, cored & sliced into 1/4 to 1/3 inch slices Beat eggs, add milk and melted butter. Sift together salt, flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Add to liquid mixture and beat well. Put sliced apples in mixture, mix lightly until each is coated. Drop coated apples, one by one, into heated frying oil, and cook about 3-5 minutes, turning apple slices once. Drain apple fritters on paper towel, then dust with confectioners sugar or drizzle with maple syrup. Best when eaten hot or warm, but can be eaten cold.
