FriChik Cheese Quiche

( from Worthington Foods 50 Award Winning Recipes) FRICHIK CHEESE QUICHE

1 T margarine

12½ ounce can Worthington FriChik, drained and coarsely chopped ½

cup fresh mushrooms, sliced

¼ cup green onion, chopped

¼ cup green pepper, chopped

2 T pimento, chopped

1 cup low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded, divided 9 inch pie crust,

unbaked

3 eggs or 3/4 cup Morningstar Farms Scramblers 3/4 cup skim milk 1 t.

McKay's Chicken Style Instant Broth & Seasoning 1/4 t. salt (optional)

1 T green onion, chopped

1) Preheat oven to 350 F

2) In a large skillet on medium heat melt margarine

3) Add Worthington Frichik, mushrooms, onion, green pepper and pimento.

Saute for 3-5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

4) Remove the skillet from heat and let vegetable mixture cool slightly.

Stir in ½ cup cheese.

5) Place mixture in pie crust.

6) In a large bowl mix together egg product, milk, seasoning and salt

(optional). Pour over mixture in pie crust.

7) Top with remaining cheese and green onion.

8) Bake, uncovered, at 350F for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in

center

comes out clean.

9) Allow to stand 10 minutes before serving. ---
