Guest guest Posted September 9, 2001 Report Share Posted September 9, 2001 Onion Casserole 5 or 6 large onions, sliced salt and pepper to taste 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted 20 Ritz crackers, crushed 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded Cook onions in boiling salted water until clear looking. Drain and put onions in a buttered casserole dish. Pour butter over top and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Put a layer of half of the crackers, then a layer of half of the cheese, repeat layers.
