TVP Beef-Style Burgundy Stew

Beef-Style Burgundy StewIngredients for TVP Preparation2 cups TVP beef style chunks2 cups red wine2 Tablespoons olive oil1 teaspoon pepper1/2 teaspoon ground thyme1 bay leaf2 teaspoons vegetarian beef flavored broth powder or equivalent1 Cup waterRemaining Ingredients3 garlic cloves finely minced2 carrots sliced2 medium onions finely minced1/4 cup all purpose flour1 Tablespoon tomato paste1 1/2 cups pearl onions2 ounces mushrooms, sliced12 1/2 onces canned tomatoes2 Tablespoons olive oil2 teaspoons honey4 teaspoons vegetarian beef flavored broth powder or equivalentPreheat oven to 350. In a mixing bowl, combine wine, olive oil, pepper,thyme, and bay leaf. Add one cup of wine mixture to one cup water.(setremainder mixture of wine mixture aside).Bring water mixture to a boil.Add 2 teaspoons vegetarian beef flavored broth and TVP. Stir well andremove from heat. Leave TVP in marinade for 10 minutes. Drain excessmarinade from TVP. and add to wine mixture previously set aside. PlaceTVP in large casserole dish. Finely chop onions, slice carrots, and mince garlic. Saute them in the2 Tablespoons olive oil about 5 minutes. Blend in flour and stir about 1minute. Add remaining marinade, and the 4 teaspoons vegetarian beefpowder and tomato paste. Stir mixture until it comes to a boil and pourover TVP.
