Add celery, scallions, chives, apples, drained currants, dried fruit, tofu, garam masala, and red pepper flakes. Mix well. Cook macaroni to al dente stage, drain, and cool before adding to mixture in the bowl. Mix well and add slat and pepper to taste. Chill overnight.
