Guest guest
Just checking, is it OK to ask for clarification of certain things?? I'm going to go for it this time but please let me know if it is a no-no. Kendra (Pastitsio): What are " Greeen Giant Crumbles " ?? I am in Ontario and have never heard of them. Any other suggestions for meat substitute if that is not available here?? Lisa
Guest guest
Hi all. Welcome to the list Lisa. Yes! Feel free to ask for clarifications - we're all here to learn. Green Giant is a company that makes lots of stuff (famous for it's jolly green giant commercials for frozen & canned veggies.) They now make many meat substitutes for vegetarians & people concerned about the fat content in meat. One of the products they make is frozen " burger " crumbles. It's just like ground meat, without all the nasty stuff (meat). It's especially good in chili or tacos/burritos. You can use any burger substitute - should be available at health food stores or most grocery stores (frozen food aisle).
