Guest guest
Hi all, Anyone have a good veggie recipe that comes out crunchy? It seems everything is steamed, boiled, or mushy <G> I'd really like to find something with some texture and spice! Thanks, Bridget ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Bridget in SC * Bridget http://sahmu.com Founder -- Come Enter Our Contest! http://GuaranteedHomeBusiness.com -- How to Work From Home Free Information. Guest guest
Here's something I whipped up last night out of thin air, :-). Dont' know if it woudl be your cup of tea but I thought it was crunch. I just steamed the veggies here long enough to mush them slightly so I wouldnt' have to stirfry them as long, but hte carrots were still plenty crunch. Megan SALSA VERDE STIRFRY 1-12oz. box extra firm tofu 1 c. sliced fresh carrots 1 c. snowpeas, ends snipped off 1 broccoli head 1 small-medium jar salsa verde/green chile salsa Cube tofu into 3/4" pieces put in a bowl with jar of salsa and let marinate for a while. While the tofu is marinating, steam veggies for about 10 minutes to soften them slightly. Put veggies & salsa/tofu mixture into a stirfry pan and heat through. Serve over bed of rice.
