OK, I've been listening

to all this and I am finally going to put in my .02 1)

No 2 people are completely alike, nor think alike. Every person has

a right to their own opinion and has the right to state that opinion in

the proper forum, whether I like what they say or not. I can learn

something from everyone and from every point of view (even learning something

from an opposing view that gives me something to support my own view). 2)

When my kids/animals can suffer with Lyme Disease or West Nile Virus, or

scratch themselves sick with infection from biting flies and mosquitos,

I feel I have a responsibility to prevent such suffering. However,

the chemicals they use in some of these repellants and pesticides are probably

going to do harm to the ones I am trying to protect. Since these

chemicals won't be swallowed, even though they will be absorbed into the

body when put on the skin, they are not rigorously tested. I do try

to keep our environment as free as possible from such insects by removing

standing water, sealing trash bags, etc. But if I find one of these

insects in my house OF COURSE I'm going to kill it! 3)

I teach my kids to respect and care for our earth, the animals, all living

things. 3)

I know I'm probably going to get killed for this one, but with all the

compassion we have for insects, why don't we have compassion for unborn

babies? Women do have the right to choose what they want to do with

their bodies, but if they choose to be sexually active, then there is a

risk of pregnancy (I do believe an exception can be made for rape, incest,

life of the mother). I was pro-choice until I saw the ultrasound

of my little 8-week-old son's little heart beating away when he was smaller

than my little finger. Lauren
