Guest guest
" Hamburger " Gravy Ingredients: 2/3 bag Green Giant meat substitute 1 cube vegetable stock 2 cups water 2 Tablespoons flour 1 cup chopped onions a little soy butter/oil Directions: Boil 1.5 cups of water with the cube of vegetable stock. While waiting for it to boil, put .5 cups of water and the flour in a small sealable container. Seal and shake vigorously (until it has a milky consistency.) When the stock comes to a boil, add the flour mixture (you may need to shake the container again) and whisk. Remove from heat and begin frying the onions in another pan. After a few minutes, put the gravy in the frying pan, and add the meat substitute. Cook until the gravy is thick and the meat substitute is cooked through. (about five minutes) Serve over mashed potatoes with some (fresh) bread on the side. Very thick and hardy. (Even my " meat and potatoes " dad likes this one.) Serves: 3-4 Preparation time: 20 min
Guest guest
I haven't checked out the Green Giant yet. Do you think I could use the Gimme Lean hamburger substitute. I really like it. cdipietro wrote: "Hamburger" Gravy Ingredients: 2/3 bag Green Giant meat substitute 1 cube vegetable stock 2 cups water 2 Tablespoons flour 1 cup chopped onions a little soy butter/oil Directions: Boil 1.5 cups of water with the cube of vegetable stock.
