Guest guest
Sometimes though, people looking at vegetarianism aren't doing it for any political statements, or even because of the treatment of animals. Sometimes people like myself, are giving it a try because we are worried about the health of our families and loved ones. I noticed a couple weeks ago that my family is very heavy on the meat eating thing, every dinner and most lunches. Myself, I lived a meatless life for 3 years during my early 20's then married a midwestern farmboy who was a big meat eater and kind of converted back slowly over a couple of years. Now, I have decided that I love my husband and kids too much to continue eating and feeding them like this. But we are starting out slowly. I am replacing meat in dishes with Lentils. I can't eat Tofu or TVP because of a severe soy allergy. The kids don't notice, my husband notices, but is accepting so far. I am just concerned with our health, but that is as good a reason as any.
