Guest guest Posted July 31, 2001 Report Share Posted July 31, 2001 I saw this on the Today Show this morning and it looked so yummy! If you like tomato sandwiches, you'll probably like this. Italian Tomato Sandwich Several Beef Steak tomatoes, sliced thinly 1 whole loaf bread, sliced lengthwise (so that you have long slices the length of the loaf) Italian dressing (store bought or homemade) Flat leaf parsley (not the curly leaf type) Line a loaf pan with plasticwrap. Put long slice of bread in bottom of pan. Brush bread with dressing. Put a layer of tomato. Put a long slice of bread, brush with dressing and put several parsley leaves. Repeat layers to top of loaf pan. Cover with plastwrap and weight with brick or something else heavy. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Remove "loaf" from pan and slice.
