Guest guest Posted July 26, 2001 Report Share Posted July 26, 2001 Vegan, Almost Smoked Fish Sandwich Filling 1 large can lima (butter) beans, drained 1/4 cup smoked nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans) 2 tablespoons pimento pieces Olive oil (mild) Garlic powder (optional) Salt to taste Place nuts and several teaspoons of olive oil in food processor and grind to a very fine paste. Add lima beans and a dash of garlic powder. Pulse until nicely combined. Add a bit more olive oil if needed. Add pimento and pulse again just until pimento is evenly distributed but not pureed.
