Guest guest
Just started reading a great book; American Vegetarian Cookbook from the Fit for Life Kitchen, by Marilyn Diamond. She has a great food list titled " The Vegetarian Shopping List " . There's also lots of health information and recipes. Before this book I went through Dr. Dean Ornish's books. I would recomend either and both. If anyone is interested I'll post the shopping list. Let me know. Blessings, Karla B. P.S. Here's a great drink recipe I tried last night and love. Frothy Summer Lemonade 1/2 C. lemon juice 3 heaping tablespoons honey 1 c. cold water 2-3 c. ice cubes 12 fresh mint leaves (optional) Place lemon juice, honey, water, and ice cubes in blender. Blend on high until mixture is light and frothy and ice cubes are finely crushed. Place additional ice cubes and mint leaves in four 12 oz. glasses. Add lemonade and serve immediately. Guest guest
I would definately be interested - thanks! I'm having a tough time because my husband either brings home veggie stuff that I've never even heard of and offers no suggestions with them, or just gets the same old broccoli and mushrooms every day and thinks that I might actually be able to come up with a new dish each time!! I've never liked to cook and have not been vegetarian until we got married so this has been very difficult. I think I need to plan my cooking a week in advance and buy all groceries at that time. I got quite a chuckle from the comment about the tofu staring as if you should know what to do with it! Sounds like my life! brent <tincup1 Sunday, July 22, 2001 11:10 AM RE: Digest Number 567 >Just started reading a great book; American Vegetarian Cookbook from the Fit >for Life Kitchen, by Marilyn Diamond.
