Thanks " Submitted by Anonymous I am glad that you were open to trying these wonderful beans. I always keep some in my freezer. Edamame beans are actually young, green soybeans. You can buy them in the pod or shelled. They are mostly found in the frozen section of your health food store. Some grocery stores are now starting to stock them - so keep your eyes open. They are very easy to prepare - just boil some water and cook them for about 5 minutes. There is no need to defrost them. I buy them shelled to eat as part of a meal, and also buy them in the pod to eat as an easy snack.
